A FIFTEEN-year-old girl is swimming the length of the English Channel to raise funds for charity.
Teenager Ellie Thompson has been aiming to complete the 22-mile distance between January and March this year.
And her final mile will come during Warrington Disability Partnership’s sponsored swim at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub next month.
Ellie, who was recently diagnosed with joint hypermobility syndrome, has already completed seven miles and is aiming to raise £500 for WDP – which was set up by her granddad Dave Thompson.
Swimmers of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the sponsored swim from 4pm to 8pm on Saturday, March 21.
Participants can set their own targets or aim to swim 64 lengths, the equivalent of a mile.
