KINGSMEAD Square is set to benefit from two electric vehicle parking spaces, after plans were approved.
Cheshire West and Chester Council has now given the green light to the plans, which would see two existing spaces become rapid EV charging stations.
Planners considered that the proposal would be ‘a positive addition to the area’, causing minimal to no disruption.

It attunes with CWAC’s Local Plan policy, which ‘recognises the important role planning plays in supporting the delivery of renewable and low carbon energy generation’.
The floor-mounted charging stations will charge EVs at up to 62.5 kW.
They will be situated to the south west of the car park, next to the entrance with existing access from Regency Way.
