CORSHAM gets its running shoes ready with two up and coming races for all ages, the 2K and 10K.

The popular 2K race has sold out already.

There are still places available for the 1OK but this race traditionally sells out by mid March, so people shouldn't delay if they'd like to run one of Wiltshire's most popular 10K races on April 26th.

The race committee took the decision three years ago to clean up the race and make it as rubbish free as possible.

They replaced 1000's of plastic bottles of water for bio-degradable cups, and replaced the plastic goodie bag with a bottle of local beer. And will continue to find ways to make the race cleaner and more environmentally responsible.

The 10K race in 2019 raised over £5000 for local charities, including the Pound Art Centre and Wiltshire Air Ambulance. They will continue to support local charities in 2020.

In 2020, for the second year, the Royal Navy Field Gun team will take part, assembling and running part of the route with their field gun. This is now part of the teams pre-competition fitness training programme. Look out for the field gun at race HQ or being run along the Lacock Road.
