FREE healthy events are set to provide family fun and inspiration over half term.

Wellbeing Winsford Week is celebrating its fifth anniversary at the Dingle Centre on Monday with a programme of activities, workshops, fitness taster sessions, cooking and craft.

Mayor Cllr Ailsa Gaskill-Jones, chairman of Wellbeing Winsford Hub, said: "It is all about providing opportunities for healthy living. It a great opportunity for the Winsford community to come together and take part in new activities, meet different people and find out how to live a healthy lifestyle in the future.

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped to arrange this event and for providing many free sessions which means that lots of activities are accessible to everyone."

A charity netball festival takes place at Winsford Lifestyle Centre on Wednesday.

A marketplace event will be held at Winsford Cross Shopping Centre from 10am to 2.30pm on Saturday with stalls staffed by health and wellbeing experts.

A musical event takes place on Saturday, February 22 with a night of toe tapping and top tunes hosted by the Dave Egerton Band with performances by the Gathered Voices Choir.

The evening is in aid of the mayor's charities, Cotswold House, Motherwell and Cheshire Young Carers and will be held at the United Reformed Church on Swanlow Lane.from 7.30pm.

The event has been sponsored by Knights Grange.
