A PENSIONER was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Chester Road.
The 91-year-old woman was struck by a grey Audi on the A5060, near to the Bargain Booze store and the junction with Meadow Avenue, shortly after 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 4.
She suffered serious injuries during the incident and was taken to Warrington Hospital by ambulance, where she remains at present.
But the driver of the car, a 29-year-old man, did not require hospital treatment.
Cheshire Police are now appealing for witnesses of the incident to come forward, with investigations ongoing.
A force spokesman said: “Officers investigating a collision in Warrington are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
“At 2.40pm on Tuesday, February 4, a grey Audi was driving along Chester Road when it was in collision with a pedestrian.
“An ambulance arrived at the scene and a 91-year-old woman was taken to Warrington Hospital.
“She remains in hospital with serious injuries.
“The driver, a 29-year-old man, did not require hospital treatment.
“An investigation into the collision is ongoing and officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen it take place.
“They would also like people who were driving in the area at the time the collision occurred to submit dashcam footage.”
