PLANS have been submitted to build an apartment block on the site of a former nursing home in Winsford.
The application proposes to erect the building, which will be made up of 16 one or two bed apartments on Darnhall School Lane.
The land was formerly occupied by The Hollies nursing home, which closed in 2008 and was demolished the following year.
This formed part of a previous planning application to build 14 apartments on the 0.25-hectare brownfield site.
However the plans failed to progress and the land has been vacant for over 10 years.
Applicant Paul Cook Developments says that the two-storey apartment block will be ‘designed in a layout to minimise any impact upon neighbouring properties’.
The site will also have parking spaces to accommodate 19 vehicles.
