NURSES, staff and supporters will be showing some love for St Luke’s this Valentine's by volunteering their time to raise vital funds for patient care.

The annual ‘Love St Luke’s’ street collection will be taking place in towns across mid Cheshire on Saturday, February 15.

The street collection has been hugely successful in previous years.

Organiser Angela Slack, St Luke’s community partnerships manager, said: “We’re so grateful to everyone who has signed up to volunteer their time to raise money for our hospice.

“I will be joining my colleagues on the annual street collection as I’m very proud of the work we do and I enjoy talking to locals who have benefited from our services.

"As a 24–hour service it can be difficult for teams across all areas of the hospice to gather as one, therefore I look forward to our annual collection to get together and have fun whilst raising money for St Luke’s.

“The collection is not only an important way to raise money for our patients, but it is also a chance to speak to people in our community and remind them that we are their local hospice.

"Every penny we receive will make a big difference and help us to continue supporting the lives of local people.”

The street collections will be taking place in Winsford, Middlewich and Northwich.
