BROOKE McCormick is being tipped as one to watch for the future in the world of mixed martial arts.

The 16-year-old, who trains out of Tiagon MMA in Winsford, caught the eye in a recent inter-club event in Salford.

McCormick, who weighs in at 47kg, ended up having two fights against opponents from rival clubs.

There are no winners or losers in inter-club events, which give fighters the opportunity to practice learning how to compete under pressure.

But McCormick dominated her male opponent, tapping him out six times before the fight was over.

The organisers then asked her if she would like to stay to fight in the adults' category.

She did, and fought a 19-year-old woman who was 20kg heavier.

Tiagon MMA head coach James Dubber said: "Brooke said she loves a challenge and ended up dominating the bigger opponent with her speed and skill sets.

"The compliments for Brooke and her coaching team from the other coaches were amazing. They said she will be a superstar."
