Borderland Rotary Club members are not feeling blue in this picture, but instead they experiencing the sensory effects of the multifunctional sounds and lighting at the Bradbury Hydrotherapy Pool at Derwen College, Gobowen.

The club supported the fundraising appeal to help furnish the pool with equipment.

The pool, named after its main benefactor, the Bradbury Foundation, opened last September and marked not only a great step forward for the college but also the retirement of one of the college’s fundraising stalwarts, Paul Crosby.

Paul, a Borderland member, has been working with the Derwen for the past 18 years and instrumental in raising the funds for the Sensory Pool project.

Paul said: “I feel it’s time for me to retire from fundraising, but I have to say that I’ve loved every minute and I’m sure my association with the Derwen will continue.

“It’s very gratifying to see the pool up and running and I’d like to thank the many people who have helped bring it to fruition.”
