MOTORISTS are experiencing rush hour chaos on a busy main road after a crash.
Chorley New Road is partially blocked in both directions, leading to queuing traffic.
The accident happened at the junction with Beaumont Road around 8am
Traffic is building near the Beehive Roundabout.
There are also reports of another accident near the junction with Tudor Avenue.
A eye-witness said there had been a crash at the junction that emergency services including fire crews are on the scene.
Another motorist told The Bolton News: "It is just chaos on that road, I have been travelling from Horwich and it has taken me 40 minutes to get through it.
"A number of cars have been involved in the accident, it is a major incident. Police are there, but the accident is causing chaos."
We have heard of accidents where Beaumont Road joins Chorley New Road and also on Tudor Avenue this morning. Traffic is slow getting to school. Do travel safely and sign in on late lists if you are delayed
