A MAN was left trapped up against metal gates after being hit by a lorry last night, Monday.
The pedestrian was hit in Wades Lane - off Bradford Road - shortly before 7.50pm on Monday, January 13.
Fire crews were called to remove the gate and free the trapped man before he was treated by paramedics.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The collision involved a large goods vehicle and a pedestrian.
"On arrival the man was trapped between the vehicle and metal gates.
"Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and removed the gate to free the trapped casualty.
"They then handed him over to the care of paramedics.
"Firefighters were in attendance for more than an hour."
Three fire engines attended - one from Winsford, one from Northwich and one from Middlewich - as well as a major rescue unit from Winsford.
