A NURSERY in Kingsmead is calling on kids and parents to join in as it attempts to break a world record.

To mark its enrolment day on Saturday, Busy Bees Nursery on Kingsmead Square is inviting the local community to join hundreds across the country taking part in a record breaking den building attempt.

This follows research from Busy Bees which found that building dens is one of the best things about being young.

And as well as providing a fun activity for youngsters, it will provide the chance for mums and dads to relive their youth.

Pam Edwards, centre director at Busy Bees Northwich, said: “Our enrolment day is a wonderful opportunity for local people to pop in and find out more about our nursery – and this one is set to be really special with our world record attempt.

“Here at Busy Bees Northwich, we pride ourselves on creating an environment that provides plentiful opportunities for play, interaction and development to give each child the best possible start in life.

“Creative play is one of many activities that does just that.

“We want families to come together and join in with our den building world record and other fun activities with their children on Saturday January 18. We hope to see you there.”

A study by Busy Bees of 1,000 children under 11 found that building dens, jumping in puddles, climbing trees and dressing up are some of the best things about being a child.

Getting presents, school holidays, creating things out of empty boxes and getting a visit from the Tooth Fairy also feature in the top 40 list.

Busy Bees Nursery Northwich will open its doors for enrolment day from 10am through to 4pm on Saturday, where den building and other fun activities will be on offer.
