TWO people were arrested this afternoon (Friday) in Holmes Chapel on suspicion of racially-aggravated affray.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 10.18am this morning police received a report of an altercation at a petrol station in Middlewich Road in Holmes Chapel.
“The suspects left the scene in a vehicle and a search was made to locate them.
“At around 2pm police stopped a vehicle on the A54 Holmes Chapel.
A 25-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
“A 22-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
“He was also further arrested for racially-aggravated public order and criminal damage.”
