STAFF working for a national children’s charity in Northwich were left overwhelmed after receiving a large donation of toys.

Those working at Barnardo’s on Leicester Street were amazed as Kim Thresh popped by with over £300 worth of toys for the charity’s Kidsmas appeal.

The campaign aims to raise vital funds during the Christmas and New Year period to ensure that vulnerable children can look forward to a brighter future.

And Kim, who lives in Northwich and works as an independent distributor for catalogue VivaMK, was only too happy to help.

“My team leader at work was talking about doing something for charity at this time of year and I though it sounded like a great idea,” she said.

“I’ve been involved in Barnardo’s toy appeal in the past and it is a great cause, which is why I decided to support it again.

“I told my customers about the appeal and they were more than happy to help, and I also used my commission to buy more toys for the charity.

“I was really happy with how much we were able to raise, and so were the staff at Barnardo’s when we dropped the toys off.

“They were amazed as I think they didn’t really realise just how many toys we would be donating when I got in contact with them, but they were really pleased and thanked us for our help.”
