THE annual New Year's Day Treasure Hunt in Middlewich attracted a record turnout this year.

More than 80 teams took part in the charity event that has been running since 1992.

The team 'Left Over Sprouts' won with a score of 23 out of 28. 'I Bet You Can't Fit This Name' came in very close second also with 23 points but lost on a tie breaker.

The challenge raised £540 which will be shared between Debra and the Royal British Legion.

Organisers would like to thank all the local businesses who very generously donated prizes for the treasure hunt winners and raffle.
