BEST-SELLING author Raynor Winn will reveal the story behind her book The Salt Path at an event at Bolton School.
In one devastating week, Raynor and her husband Moth lost their home, just as a terminal diagnosis threatened to take away their future together. With nowhere else to go, they decided to walk the South West Coast Path: a 630-mile sea-swept trail from Somerset to Dorset, via Devon and Cornwall.
The Salt Path was published by Penguin in 2018 and became a Sunday Times bestseller and an international bestseller. It won the Society of Literature prize and was shortlisted for the Costa biography, Wainwright and Stanford’s Travel Memoir awards.
The free event is open to everyone and will take place in the Girls’ Division Great Hall on Monday, January 27, 2020, at 7pm. Refreshments will be available beforehand from 6.30pm.
