TIME is running out for Winsford residents to have their say on the future of their town centre.

Cheshire West and Chester Council is currently gathering views from residents on what they want to see from their town in the years to come – but the consultation is due to close on Sunday, January 12.

Cllr Richard Beacham, cabinet member for housing, regeneration and growth, said: “It’s really important that we hear local people’s ideas for the regeneration of Winsford, particularly so that any final plans meet the needs of everyone who works and uses the town centre.

“We want the market, the library and health services to better reflect the needs of local people.

“It is the ambition of CWAC, and local residents and businesses, to use the town centre regeneration programme to create new business opportunities for local people, grow the local economy, and to attract more visitors to the town.”

CWAC bought Winsford Cross in February 2018, and it has since been working to repair the shopping centre and develop a masterplan for the town’s future.
