A search has been launched to trace a man missing from Glasgow overnight.

Stewart Ramsey was last seen leaving the Argyle Street Premier Inn on Wednesday morning.

Police say the 31-year-old's disappearance is "unusual" and are appealing to the public to help find him.

He is described as Scottish, 5ft6in tall with short brown hair and a beard.

When he was last seen, Stewart was wearing black coloured jogging bottoms, a royal blue jumper, a black Nike gilet and brown coloured Caterpillar boots.

Inspector Steven Gow at Govan Police Office said: “This is unusual for Stewart to be out of contact with family for this length of time and concerns for his welfare are growing.

"I would ask anyone who has seen Stewart recently or know of his whereabouts call us on the 101 number, quoting the reference number 0708 of December 11 2019.

"I would also ask Stewart himself to make contact with family to let them know he is safe and well.”
