BIN collections across Wirral will be changing over the Christmas and New Year period.
With both Christmas Day and New Years Day falling on a Wednesday this year some households will be asked to put their bins out for collection the Saturday before the scheduled collection.
Residents who usually have bins collected on a Thursday - which happens to be Boxing Day - will have to put their bins out on Sunday, December 22
Any households that subscribe to brown bins are being told that the service is suspended from December 16 until January 13.
Grey (recycling) and green (non-recyclable waste) collections:
- Bins normally collected on Wednesday, December 25 will be collected on Saturday, December 21
- Bins normally collected on Thursday, December 26 will be collected on Sunday, December 22
- Bins normally collected on Wednesday, January 1 will be collected on Saturday, December 28
There are no changes to collections due on Mondays, Tuesdays or Fridays.
For all collections, residents should put bins out by 7am at normal collection points.
