BARNTON Cricket Club are hoping to bowl over planning chiefs after submitting plans for a new pair of training nets.
The proposal would see the structure, which measures approximately 30 metres by eight metres, built towards the rear of the pitch.
It would replace the current nets and would allow both batters and bowlers to get in some vital practice before games and during training sessions.
The base of the structure would be made of astro turf laid on concrete and the practice area would be surrounded by a mesh cage.
