CHRIST Church Greenbank will be holding two carols by fairy light services this year.

They will both be staged on Sunday, December 22 at 4.30pm and 7pm in the church at the old Station House of Greenbank station.

As part of the service, traditional carols will be sung by a youth choir and excerpts of the Bible will be read out.

The earlier service will have a crèche for babies and a group for younger children, whilst the later service may suit families with older children.

A church spokesman said: “Our Carols by Fairy Light service has always been popular, and it is in response to demand that have decided this year to introduce a second service.”

“Everyone is welcome to attend.

“We are a friendly church with folk in every age group, including an unusually high number of children and young people.”

Christ Church Grenbank’s annual Christingle service will also be on Christmas Eve at 4.30pm, with an All Age service on Christmas Day at 10.30am.
