WIRRAL band The Jagz are set to launch their second EP Cathedral Dreams at District next week.

Formed in 2017, indie/psych band The Jagz have been described as reimagining the Merseybeat sound while capturing more modern crazes such as Mersey surf.

Before signing to Yano Da! Records, the band saw success with early singles 21:27 and This Man Never Cries after being championed by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Dave Monks.

Released on November 8, the new EP will see The Jagz host an epic launch party at Baltic Triangle venue District on Friday, December 13.

Support comes from Rhine Valley, Rolleston and Cult Icon.

The new EP consists of four dreamy tracks, all boasting that oh-so-sweet surf guitar, burgeoning beats and cool vocals.

Title track Cathedral Dreams has a pleasant instrumental and benefits from romanticised lyrics tied neatly together in just over three minutes.

With no room for misery, Good Times is calm and relaxing, championing cheery beats while lazy surf track Life Keeps ~ Rolling On offers a totally dazed outlook on life.

The Jagz's final gift on the EP is Outro.

With an eighties late-night classic vibe complete with synths and whispering vocals, be prepared to enjoy an out of this world experience.

Tickets for Cathedral Dreams EP launch are priced at £7 plus booking fee and are available via https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Liverpool/District-/The-Jagz-EP-Launch/13670755/
