A MAN has appeared in court charged with burglary at the home of a 91-year-old woman in Winsford.
Steven Simpson, of Crook Lane, Winsford, was arrested on Wednesday, November 20, in connection with a burglary at an address on Station Road, Winsford in the early hours of Wednesday, November 13.
The 43-year-old was subsequently charged with burglary and theft and appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, November 21, when he was released on conditional bail.

However, the Crown Prosecution Service submitted an emergency bail application and Simpson reappeared at Chester Crown Court on Friday November 22, when he was remanded in custody.
Simpson is due to stand trial at Chester Crown Court on Thursday 19 December.
