FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at a farm near Levens last night.
Five fire engines from Kendal, Milnthorpe, Grange-over-Sands, Arnside and Cockermouth were called at around 9pm to Middle Foulshaw Farm.
A Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said the fire took place in the barn conversion of the property.
“The fire involved a semi-detached property consisting of two floors approximately fifteen metres by fifteen metres," he said.
“Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one external jet, a twelve-meter ladder, roof ladder, twin rope access equipment, small tools and a light portable pump to extinguish the fire."
The property was unoccupied at the time.
Firefighters were at the property for around five hours.
