TODDLERS in Winsford have received a gift to buy new toys and resources.

St Chad's Preschool on Gladstone Street in Winsford has received £500 from regional housebuilder Bellway Homes to replace play equipment lost during a fire in July.

Preschool manager Tina Musker said: “We are so grateful to Bellway for this kind donation. The money is a welcome addition to the generosity shown by the local community to keep this invaluable local service relevant and able to continue.

"All monies raised through our fundraising drive will go towards running the preschool and ensuring children from all backgrounds and of all abilities feel welcomed, cared for and included.”

Children from the preschool made the short walk to Bellway’s Platts Meadow development to receive the gift from sales advisor Samantha Maher.

Jenny Bell, sales director at Bellway Homes, said: “We were hugely impressed with the work done by the preschool and the outreach into the community to those who may be struggling financially or supporting children with disabilities or additional needs, and are delighted to provide this donation.

"Reinforcing the connection even further are some of the children on our Platts Meadow development, who are currently pupils at the preschool and will benefit directly from the new resources purchased with the donation.”
