Schools, nurseries and workplaces across Dorset donned Pudsey ears and outfits as they raised vital funds for Children in Need 2019.

The annual BBC appeal raised a huge £47.9m this year, which will go towards helping to change the lives of children and young people across the UK.

St Andrew's CE Primary School, Weymouth

St Andrew’s school raised money for Children in Need with lots of activities including a non-uniform day, a colouring competition and covering a huge Pudsey in donated coins.

Beechcroft St. Paul's CE Primary School, Weymouth

Children were thrilled to receive a visit from Pudsey Bear to celebrate Children In Need.

Jaqui from the Community Champions team escorted Pudsey on his visit to the school and to the Eden Foundation One Unit where children had purchased a Golden Ticket to take part in the fun activities.  A grand total of £326.50 was raised.

Children support the appeal by dressing in their pyjamas and making Pudsey pictures, eye patches and bear ear headbands. The youngsters also got to meet Pudsey!

Parents and kids got baking for a cake sale at this nursery, which raised £147.93 towards the appeal - well done!

Sharron Leader says her five-year-old son Isaac took part in a non-uniform day, where pupils all brought in a £1 donation to Children in Need. Here's Isaac sporting his Pudsey outfit!
