HOUSEBUILDER Harvey Homes has challenged the 207 pupils at Lower Peover Primary School to enter a competition and draw their predictions for the homes of the future.

Two classes from the school visited Harvey Homes’ new site in Lower Peover for inspiration and to see the processes involved in building luxury homes from the foundations up.

The students have been asked to consider what building materials could be used for their futuristic homes and how spaces could be used for different purposes, and have until November 22 to submit their ideas.

Harvey Homes Group is building 30 high-quality homes in Swan Green on Middlewich Road, Lower Peover.

Co-founder and director of Harvey Homes, Tom Harvey Ratcliffe, said: “We wanted to ensure we engage with the community as much as possible during the build and involve them in the process.

Northwich Guardian:

“It was fantastic to see the children enjoying their visit to the site and learning about the building techniques.

“We can’t wait to see their ideas for the homes of the future; maybe one of their drawings will inspire our future designs.”

Headteacher at Lower Peover Primary, Sharon Dean, said: “Collaborating with local businesses is a great way to give our students new opportunities and insights into different industries.

“The site visit which many of our pupils enjoyed gave them a real understanding of how houses are built, and has inspired them to think about how the design of a home can shape a family’s life.”

The homes at Swan Green range from two-bedroom mews and semi-detached homes to four and five-bedroom detached houses.
