FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a sofa fire yesterday evening, Wednesday.
One fire engine from Winsford Fire Station was dispatched to Basford Way at approximately 5.50pm.
On arrival, the crew found the large sofa to be well alight in the open.
Firefighters extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and were in attendance for more than 10 minutes.
