CHILDREN at Darnhall Primary School in Winsford have taken part in Odd Sock Day to combat isolation.

The nationwide event is part of Anti Bullying Week.

Odd Socks Day is an opportunity to have fun, be yourself and spread awareness of the core values Anti Bullying Week promotes. The children talked about being different but all being equal and how the odd socks represents this.

Teachers said encouraging acceptance of individuality at an early age can help prevent bullying later in life and raising awareness on the issue of bullying is very important to us.
