CHRISTMAS lights will be switched on during a fun-filled evening on Friday, November 29.
The festivities will be held as part of the town's Christmas Street Festival starting at 4pm.
Since 2009, hundreds of residents have gathered for a lantern parade, fireworks display, live music, entertainment and stalls.
This is the first time that Winsford Town Council has taken full responsibility for the event.
In the past, the town council has teamed up with various organisations and individuals to organise the festivities as a partnership.
Cheshire West and Chester Council has reviewed the event as part of its overall responsibility for events in the area and requested that one single organisation should be responsible for it in future.
Councillors are continuing to work with local churches, Harry Sharland, Cheshire Police and Winsford Cross Shopping Centre.

The celebration will be held on Old High Street.
A street magician will entertain shoppers and various bands will be performing.
Businesses are being invited to support the event.
