PTA members are inviting the community to get into the festive spirit at a Christmas market at St Vincent’s Primary School.

The festive event will feature 13 stalls, selling a range of items including children's clothes and gifts, bags, purses and scarves, beauty care, perfume, cards, books and jewellery.

The market is being organised by the school’s and pre-school's PTAs, and there will be a bar and raffle, which boasts 20 prizes donated by stall holders and local businesses

It is being held on Friday, November 22, from 7pm to 9.30pm, and the organisers have been delighted by the number of raffle prizes which have been donated.

“It’s the first time the pre-school and primary school have hosted a joint event, and fingers crossed it should raise a fantastic amount,” said PTA member Angela Carroll, who has a son at the pre-school.

“We have some amazing raffle prizes, and have been overwhelmed by the community’s support.

“The donations from the local businesses are really appreciated, especially as they must get asked numerous times for help."

"Tickets are £5, and it's a chance to leave the children at home for the evening and do some Christmas shopping."

The money raised will go towards new musical instruments and the new playground, as well as the new pre-school.
