Firefighters were on hand to help a dog whose leg had been impaled on a metal spike yesterday, Sunday.
A crew from Northwich Fire Station were dispatched to a veterinary hospital on Chester Road in Hartford shortly before 3.30pm to assist with the treatment of an injured dog.
One of the boxer's legs had somehow been impaled on a metal spike.
Using specialist cutting equipment, firefighters were able to remove the spike from the sedated dog's leg.
They were in attendance for around 15 minutes.
