TAKE a look inside West Kirby's brand new speakeasy bar Blind Pig.

Serving up more than 100 weird and wonderful gins and a classy cocktail menu, the husband and wife team have expanded their Blind Pig portfolio after opening their first venue in Heswall just 18 months ago..

Matt and Hannah Whitby have been busy refurbishing two floors inside the former Whitmore & White shop on Banks Road over the last three months while adding some quirky features and prohibition-themed trinkets.

The new bar is stocked full with a mind-boggling range of gin, rum, whisky, tequila, vodka plus many more liqueurs and spirits which all surround a magnificent gold-plated till.

Wirral Globe:

There are some barmy gin flavours including Turkish delight, mango, strawberry, blood orange, marshmallow, parma violet plus rhubarb and custard.

Blind Pig also serve locally made gins from Tappers in West Kirby and the colour-changing Gravity Gin, created in Wallasey.

Concocted by the bar's mixologists, the cocktail menu consists of drinks such as cherry old fashioned, a bananacolada, the white lady and even a cocktail tasting of coffee and tobacco.

What's even better is that there will be two-for-one cocktails everyday from 4pm until 8pm.

There is also a range of beers, craft ales, wines and prosecco that is half price on a rainy day.

Matt said: “We are ecstatic that opening day is finally here.

“There has been a lot of interest on the West Kirby bar and we have been approached on a daily basis by people walking past or messaging on social media to either book a table or to find out more about the bar.

“We are expecting to be very busy this weekend, which will be great and hope that everybody in West Kirby pops down to enjoy a gin or a cocktail, or anything else we have to offer.”

Wirral Globe:

Blind Pig's walls will be adorned with antique musical instruments including a clarinet, saxophone and horn - the music doesn't stop there with live performances for a variety of genres and DJ sets promised.

There's two grand chandeliers, a mummified bat and some more oddities and antiquities set to be added over the coming weeks.

Blind Pig West Kirby is open everyday from Friday, October 18.
