CROXTON Lane will be closed for eight days for roadworks – starting on Monday, October 22.

The closure will enable Cheshire East Council’s highways team to complete carriageway resurfacing, from the humpback bridge to Chester Road.

The road will be closed between 8am and 5pm each day, with works set to run until Thursday, October 31.

A Highways spokesman said: “We will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing along Croxton Lane and will take approximately eight days to complete, commencing October 22.

“We understand there is no right time to undertake this work, however the scheme has been carefully planned to minimise disruption to local residents, businesses and members of the travelling public.

“The works are programmed to begin from Monday, October 22 to Thursday, October 31 between 8am and 5pm. Please note that occasionally the works have to be changed at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions or logistics.”

Residents are asked not to park on the road while the work is ongoing, and any residents with access needs are asked to let the site supervisor know as soon as possible.

Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times, with a diversion signposted.
