1) County Fayre, York Road

County Fayre came out as a clear winner after receiving the most votes from our readers.

Karen Curtin praised the place for its staff, saying it is ‘run by a lovely man’.

2) Phillip’s on Cricklade Road.

FOR Anthony Trinder the chips at Phillip’s are the ‘best he had since he was a kid’.

3) The Happy Cod on Aiken Road

The shop was described by Joe Botwright as the ‘best’. He added: “ I would be amazed if anyone that’s been there would disagree.”

“Not to mention generous portions and friendly staff.”

4) Mr Cod on Victoria Road and Cricklade Road

FOR Liz Potts the shop in Old Town deserves to be ranked among the top five in Swindon.

She said: “I love the chips at Mr Cod on Victoria Hill. The Chicken burgers are incredible too!”

Emma McDonald and Sheeraz Butt also recommended Mr Cod.

Customers can order meal from one of the shops or online and get home delivery.

Chips cost £2 and £3,10 for extra large. Do you like cheese? For £2,70 you can get cheesy chips.

MANY of our readers voted for Fish & Chips for its quality food.
