CHILDREN discovered how to make bread in their classroom!

Year 5 pupils at the Grange Community Nursery and Primary School were shown how to knead and make fresh dough by staff from Roberts Bakery.

Many of the youngsters are now inspired to make some bread at home.

One pupil said: "I can’t wait to get the ingredients and make some dough. I’m going to use it to make a pizza."

Children asked about future jobs at the factory after discovering that the bakery is near to their homes.

Sara Albiston, head of school said: “Since being part of Weaver Trust, we have woven quality enrichment opportunities throughout our curriculum.

"This opportunity has not only enriched our curriculum but has also allowed the children to aspire to a career that perhaps they hadn’t thought of.
