A TEENAGE girl was rushed to hospital after being hit in the head with a brick in Howley.
Police were alerted to the incident near to Warrington Rowing Club shortly before 9pm last night, Thursday.
The 14-year-old girl was reportedly attacked from behind by a male on a bike, who hit her to the back of her head with a brick or large stone – knocking her unconscious.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident, and are appealing for witnesses.
A force spokesman said: “We have received reports of an incident at 8.51pm on Kingsway South, which resulted in a 14-year-old girl being taken to hospital.
“Police are currently investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone in the area at the time who may have seen the incident.”
