A WOMAN trapped in a car after it ended up on its side was rescued by firefighters.
The accident happened on Bostock Road in Middlewich.
Firefighters were called shortly before 10pm last night.
Crews used special cutting equipment and worked with paramedics to free the woman from her car.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: "We treated one female patient in her 40s at the scene. She was taken to Leighton Hospital."

The road was closed in both directions as emergency services dealt with the incident.
