A MAGICAL evening is being held to raise vital funds for a Winsford charity.

The Spirit of Christmas at Chester Cathedral on Friday, November 29 features an array of TV and film actors performing festive readings and songs.

Previous celebrities have included Jim Broadbent, Alison Steadman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Carey Mulligan and Imelda Staunton.

The concert is hosted by Matthew Kelly of Stars in Their Eyes fame and is in support of the Neuromuscular Centre in Winsford, a charity that provides a range of specialist services and unique opportunities for people with muscular dystrophy, a progressive and debilitating muscle wasting condition with no known cure.

Matthew brings along his friends from stage and screen.

Robert Glenister and Kate Fahy have agreed to join David Morrissey and Selia Cadell.
