A PENSIONER’s house was broken into by burglars while he was in hospital.
The elderly man’s home was targeted during a break-in on Friday, September 6, after he had been admitted to hospital.
Two men were arrested today, Thursday, over the incident.
Both suspects, aged 60 and 56, were held on suspicion of burglary and are currently in custody being questioned by officers.
Stolen property was recovered by Cheshire Police, who have reminded residents to take steps to deter burglars.
A force spokesman said: “Detectives have arrested two men from Burtonwood in connection with a burglary – the incident occurred at an address on Acton Road on September 6 when the owner of the property, a pensioner, was in hospital.
“The men, aged 60 and 56, have both been arrested on suspicion of burglary – the pair are currently being questioned by officers in custody.”
