A PHOTOGRAPHER based in Birchwood has received a business boost from Dragons’ Den entrepreneur, Theo Paphitis.

Sarah Dunwood, owner of Sarah Dunwood Photography, tweeted Theo about her business during Small Business Sunday (SBS), a Twitter initiative in which Theo will retweet messages from businesses to his 500,000 followers.

Sarah, 46, was one of six weekly winners and her twitter account, @DunwoodSarah, now has 700 more followers for her photography services.

She is also profiled on the SBS website.

Sarah said: “As a new start up business, it’s absolutely amazing to have support from Theo as it has immediately raised my business profile and allowed me to share my photography work to a much wider audience.

“As a result, I’m now in contact with potential clients across the UK and over into Ireland as well.

“This is so important to me, as increasing my client base will enable me to support Warrington based charity, Papyrus UK, as I will be donating a percentage of my profits to them at the end of my first year in business.”

Sarah’s business supports those in the UK emergency services and NHS staff by offering significant discounts and she is also an advocate for mental health awareness.

Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.

“The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Sarah Dunwood Photography every success.”

Businesses should tweet Theo about their business on Sundays between 5pm and 7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS.
