KFC is planning to open 38 new drive-thru restaurants across the north west – including one in Winsford.
The fast food restaurant is targeting huge expansion across the country, with Winsford on the list of potential new sites alongside nearby Chester, Crewe, Altrincham and St Helens.
A spokesman for the company said: "We have bold ambitions to have over 1,000 stores in the UK and Ireland by 2020.
"We are looking to build over 50 new stores a year."
KFC first introduced its fried chicken to the UK in 1965 with its first branch in Preston, but today it operates 850 outlets in the country.
Currently, the closest branches include Northwich and two in Crewe.
The proposed Winsford store would feature a drive-thru, although an exact site has not been announced, with KFC documents (below) suggesting a location near the railway station.
