PEOPLE gathered at an Ellesmere Port club to continue a party that started back in 1959.
Saturday marked the 60th anniversary of the Whitby Sports and Social Club at its current location.
And people were more than happy to party like it was 1959 at the venue that has affectionately become known as the Whitby Hub.
On the night, the partygoers rolled back the years as they were entertained by Blondie and The Jersey Boys tribute acts.
For the last 60 years the club, on Dunkirk Lane, has been at the centre of the town's social and sports calendar.
Membership covers all age groups from youth rugby teams to experienced bowls teams. There are regular live gigs music and comedy gigs, and popular country and folk nights.
Club chairman Sam Biggins thanked Mari and Antony Cooper for organising the event as well as Joe Quinn, Cathy and Paul Dand, Irene Roxburgh and Ian Ormerod.
Mr Cooper said: "The Whitby Club is a not for profit organisation and we are proud to provide a community hub for the residents of Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas. Thankyou to the volunteers who helped to organise our 60th Anniversary Party and a special thank you to all the guests who came along to celebrate and enjoyed our party."
