A PENSIONER faces a series of child sex offences that are alleged to have taken place in Flintshire dating back 13 years.
Alan Jones, 76, appeared before North East Wales Magistrates’ Court charged with 18 sexual offences against girls aged between five and 17 between 2006 and 2018.
Jones, of Rugby Road, Ellesmere Port did not give an indication of a plea and his case was committed to Mold Crown Court for a hearing on October 7.
He is charged with eight counts of sexually assaulting a girl under 13, four counts of child rape, three counts of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity, sexual assault on a female aged between 13 and 17, attempted rape of a girl under 13 and sexual assault of a girl under 13 by penetration.
Jones also faces three charges of possessing indecent images and one charge of possessing extreme pornography in March this year.
He was granted conditional bail.
