TOY Story stars Woody and Buzz Lightyear were the hit guests at 10th birthday celebrations on Saturday.

The party was staged by next door neighbours Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe and Glamorous of Knutsford to mark a decade in business for each of them.

Dionne Bradbury and Tracy Tiller opened Glamorous on September 11, 2009, Mr Simms opening next door 15 days later.

“Our face painter was very busy all day, and we raised £130 for Knutsford Lions who helped us with the mascots - we couldn’t have done it without them.

“Special thanks to Knutsford Mayor Cllr Andrew Malloy for popping down with his boys, and not forgetting a big thankyou to my lovely staff who work so hard to look after our customers.

“We love being part of such a fabulous Knutsford community, and are looking forward to celebrating the next 10 years with our Glamorous of Knutsford neighbours.”

Dionne said: “It was a wonderful day, with lots of regular customers and people who have visited us over the past 10 years, including some who came to the shop’s opening day. We would like to thank our loyal customers for their support.”

Among the visitors on Saturday were customers of the Glamorous shop in Congleton, which is run by Dionne’s daughter Tia.
