A MIDDLEWICH teenager is giving up alcohol for 31 days to help people with cancer.
Kieran Allcock has pledged to Go Sober for October to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
He is one of 25, 681 sober heroes who have vowed to join the month long fundraising appeal.
The 19-year-old also plans to tackle the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge next year.
"This charity is close to my heart," said Kieran, who served in The Royal Signals and now works as a steel fabricator. "I lost my auntie."
Kieran plans to climb Snowdon soon as he prepares to conquer the three highest mountains in Wales, Snowdon, Cadair Idris and PenyFan.
