LYMM firefighters were called to an unusual job last night, Tuesday, to rescue an owl trapped in a chimney.
Shortly after 6pm, the fire crew attended a property in Leycester Road, Knutsford, and used a ladder and chimney rods to free the bird.
The tawny owl, which the crew named Sooty, was handed over to the care of the RSPCA.
