AROUND 800 cyclists are set to pass through the streets of Middlewich later today, Tuesday, as part of a ride from Land's End to John O'Groats.
The peloton is expected to reach Cheshire in the early afternoon, as they tackle stage four of the Deloitte Ride Across Britain.
The route through Cheshire
Ultimately racking up 969 miles over nine days, today's ride takes them 107 miles from Ludlow in Shropshire to Haydock, near St Helens.
From Church Minshull, cyclists will join the A530 and pass through Wimboldsley, under the Nantwich Road aqueduct into Middlewich.
They will take Finneys Lane and Webbs Lane before joining St Michael's Way and departing Middlewich towards Byley and Knutsford at the Salt Cellar Roundabout.
This stage is known as the 'easy' part of the trip due to the flat ground and relatively short distance.
Roads will remain open to traffic throughout the event.
