TRAFFIC is likely to be busier than usual along Booth Lane in Middlewich tomorrow.
The A533, which is the main route joining Middlewich to Sandbach, is likely to see traffic being diverted from several closed roads to the east.
The road closures in the Sproston and Kinderton area between Middlewich and Sandbach will be put in place to accommodate the route of the Sandbach 10k.
The closed roads will be Cledford Lane, Jones’s Lane, and Bradwell Road and traffic will be filtered onto Booth Lane to get around the closures, which will be in effect between 9am and 1pm.
A public order issued by Cheshire West and Chester Council states: “The effect will be to prohibit vehicular traffic on roads in the Parishes of Sproston to enable the Sandbach 10km to take place on Sunday, September 8, 2019.”
The order also lists alternative routes as Brereton Lane to A54 Middlewich Road northbound and the A533 Booth Lane southbound.
