WINNINGTON Avenue is set to be closed for the next two weekends due to roadworks.
The full length of the road between Winnington Lane and the junction with Burrows Hill and Wallerscote Road will be closed this Saturday and Sunday.
The road will reopen on Monday for the working week and will be closed again the following weekend on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15.
The closure is to allow Cheshire West and Chester Council to carry out resurfacing work.
A diversion will be put in place directing traffic around the closure using Burrows Hill, Chester Road, Moss Road and Winnington Lane.
A public notice issued by Cheshire West and Chester Council states: “A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use alternative routes.”
